Totally forgot to post this up before Christmas, then lost access to my comp during break, and sooooooooo.. here we are, a Christmas post, two weeks late. Ah well.

Twelve Days of Fangirly Christmas

On the first day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
A small fry in a palm tree.

On the second day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the third day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Seven girls a-squeeing,
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Eight ships a-sailing,

Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Nine bishies preening,
Eight ships a-sailing,
Seven girls a-squeeing,
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Ten badfics a-burning,
Nine bishies preening,
Eight ships a-sailing,
Seven girls a-squeeing,
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Eleven villains leering,
Ten badfics a-burning,
Nine bishies preening,
Eight ships a-sailing,
Seven girls a-squeeing,
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,

And a small fry in a palm tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true muse sent to me
Twelve J-pop-ers singing,

Nine bishies preening,
Eight ships a-sailing,
Seven girls a-squeeing,
Six angst-a-thons,
Five blood red stones,
Four plot bunnies,
Three homunculi,
Two yaoi fics,
And a small fry in a palm tree!

...*bursts out laughing*

I read this thing a half dozen times, and never picked up on that.

You didn't pick up on it? It was our convo at the IHOP that one night that LED to this. Don't you remember? We were talking about something that eventually got around to 'a green pea in a palm tree' or something like that, and I turned to you and said "You realize, this means Ed's seme." At which point Jen started choking on her cheese sticks, and we had to stop or risk killing Death, which just wouldn't have been good.

I remember the conversation. I didn't remember that it had started the song.
