    Dreamwidth has also cashed in on the lucrative RPers-need-icons market, where AO3 doesn't really have services worth paying for. Donations maybe, but subscription, not so much.

    I can sort of see why they wouldn't. It sounds to me that, unlike Dreamwidth, they actually have to hire people to fix stuff whenever it breaks. So a slow increase in users makes sense.

    It worked out pretty well. I'm glad I still had one left, now if they'd just start handing out invites like candy to users the way Dreamwidth was doing.
